When did you start to be interested in art? Why did you choose to draw?

Since I was a child and when I actually understood that all other things are too boring for me. I chose to draw because I was fascinated by the power of Art.

Do you remember your first artwork, what was it like?

A sculpture of my and my mother's heads in a big can of "Russian beef meat".

What are your favourite topics and why? Is there anything you would not depict?

Man in general, his existence and destiny. The Absurd, the grotesque and the subreal. I wouldn't depict beauty without convulsions ( by A.Breton ).

How education has influenced your creativity and changed your professional way?

My life itself has the strongest influence on my work. Books, Poetry, philosophy- all these are very important for me as a creator.

Do you think that nationality has its place in art?

Sure, it has but I am looking for an Art with universal theme.

From which authors do you get inspiration?

William Blake, Nietzsche, Kafka, Karel Chapek, Rilke, Camus, Dostoevski etc.

What, do you think is the place of visual arts in today's life? Do you think art can influence the public life?

The Art plays a very important roll in our life today, Art is a weapon, protest, a cry out but also protection and faith. I believe in the influence of art to the public life otherwise I will not create.

Which books are you reading lately?

Poetry, art articles

Are there any projects you are working on at the moment?

Installation with expressionalistic heads.

How do you see your future?

I live in the present and do not worry about the future.

Would you say in one sentence what is the art for you?

Life makes love to life continuously and I am washing their sheets.
